Firing at singer: Gangster’s sister quizzed

Mohali, May 10

A team of the Mohali Police on Thursday rounded up the sister of gangster Dilpreet Singh Dhahan from their native Dhahan village at Ropar.

SSPKuldeep Singh Chahal said Ramanpreet Kaur, sister of Dilpreet, was rounded up for questioning in the case of firing at Punjabi singer Parmish Verma here. “After quizzing, we let her off,” he said.

The police are conducting raids at various places to nab Dilpreet Singh, who is the main accused in the Parmish Verma case from whom the gangster was intending to extort money. Later, Verma and his friend Kulwant Singh were shot at in Mohali and Dilpreet Singh had taken responsibility of the incident.

Though the police refused to give more details, it is being said that Dhahan had visited his sister’s residence after the incident. — TNS
